Early milestones are often marked quietly, if at all. Thirty, sixty and ninety days are day-count milestones, not necessarily one, two and three calendar months. The person may or may not want them noticed. This page is for a supporter who wants to do something small and get it right.
First, check how they feel about it
A text that says “thinking of you today, no reply needed” is a one-to-one gesture that avoids a public announcement and can be enough. If they have told you they are counting days, a card or a small keepsake can follow. If they have not, start with words. What to Say has lines you can borrow.
What tends to fit early on
- A blank card ($14). Your own handwriting, two or three sentences. It arrives blank so you can write it first; send it to yourself, then hand it over or mail it on. A Thoughtful Note.
- A plain lined journal ($39). For someone who writes, plans or reflects. No prompts, no dates, nothing on the cover that announces what it marks. A Place to Reflect.
- An engraved cuff ($44–$54). For someone who enjoys jewelry and welcomes a lasting keepsake at this milestone. Choose polished stainless steel ($44) or an 18k yellow gold-plated finish ($54), not solid gold. Initials go on the inside, so the meaning stays private. Something to Keep.
- Flowers. A bright gesture for someone who enjoys them and welcomes attention. Ordered separately through a partner florist; delivery dates and fees are confirmed there. Explore flower options.
Timing
Cards, journals and cuffs are made to order. Check the product’s current production and shipping estimates; arrival dates are not guaranteed. For cards, allow additional time to handwrite and deliver or mail them onward. Onward postage is not included. Flowers have separate delivery availability confirmed by Florist One. If the day is close, words are ready now; a gift can follow at 60 or 90 days. The milestone calculator shows the upcoming dates and can add private reminders to your calendar.
Worth avoiding
- Public posts or group announcements unless they have asked for that.
- Before-and-after stories, or asking how it started.
- Planning the celebration around a bar, or jokes about drinks.
- Making the number more important than the person or how they want it acknowledged.
